Ireland 7 Summits®
The Ireland 7 Summits® is a fully guided national hiking series, which is a season-long journey through seven of Ireland’s great mountain ranges, running from March through to September. It’s designed so people can take part in one event or complete all seven and become an Ireland 7 Summits Summiteer.
Importantly, “7 Summits” doesn’t mean simply climbing seven individual mountains. Each event is a substantial mountain journey through a different range, with multiple peaks and route options. Participants choose a Standard, Intermediate or Advanced route appropriate to their ability, with some events also offering Advanced Plus.
The seven mountain challenges are:
1. MacGillycuddy’s Reeks — Kerry
2. Mourne Mountains — Down
3. Twelve Bens — Galway
4. Ox Mountains — Mayo
5. Galtee Mountains — Tipperary
6. Comeragh Mountains — Waterford
7. Seven Sisters — Donegal
