Galtymore mountains, situated in the province of Munster is one of Ireland’s highest peaks and is classified as a “major mountain.” It is one of the 13 Irish Munros and is part of the Galtymore Mountain range made up of sandstone and shale, with 24 peaks above 100 meters.

Just after completing the wm7s with jason. Even though I really enjoyed the summer m7s I thought this trip was alot better. For me personally it took me out of my comfort zone and offered a different and fresh challenge. I thought Jason, Steve and the rest of the team really stood out to keep us safe and didn't leave a stone unturned when it came to teaching the new skills required. It genuinely was an experience. Collaborating with you and the Black Mountaineering crew has significantly influenced me not in the mountains but also in my general attitude, toward adventure. I have gained knowledge about collaboration, leadership and planning which has boosted my confidence in tackling obstacles both in the mountains and elsewhere. I started high altitude climbing in 2018 and have travelled with the good, the bad and the ugly across Nepal, Africa, Central and South America. This year I started to work with Jason Black and have summited Mera Peak and 7 Summits in Morocco with him and his Company - I’m now working with a man and Company that are simply Gold standard Olympic Champions in this field. Jason and his Company have had a massively positive impact on my life goals and where I want to progress to in the high altitude climbing sphere. An incredible experience. Jason and 12 strangers started, 13 friends finished. The two words that sum up the experience are camaraderie and trust. We had the toughest of weather conditions but that only made us stronger. And we had the privilege of watching at close hand all of Jason's mountaineering skills in action. Why do we keep going back? Because Jason's values tick all my boxes. - You are part of a team with a shared goal. I recently completed a Mountain Skills 2 training session with Nathan, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Nathan’s attention to detail is second to none — he made sure every aspect of the training was clear, well-organized, and tailored to our abilities.
